Your mission

As Production Manager, you hold overall responsibility for the production department and lead your team both professionally and personally. You ensure that all legal, regulatory, and internal requirements are met in accordance with GMP and EXCiPACT standards. Through continuous improvements, efficiency gains, and quality initiatives, you drive operational excellence throughout the entire production process.
In your role as the designated Head of Manufacturing under GMP conditions, you work closely with all interfaces along the value chain. You ensure smooth and compliant processes and make an important contribution to maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities include:

Ensuring a safe, efficient, and GMP/EXCiPACT‑compliant production operation
Ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to all quality, safety, and environmental standards
Leading and developing the production team
Optimizing processes, OEE performance, and production workflows
Executing the production plan and coordinating adjustments with Supply Chain
Contributing to scale‑ups, project activities, and both internal and external audits
Planning and monitoring budgets, cost centers, and resources
Willingness to participate in on‑call duty

Your profile

Completed degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, or a related field
Several years of professional experience in production management within a GMP‑regulated environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
In‑depth knowledge of EXCiPACT standards and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
Solid understanding of EHS, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities across departmental boundaries
